What good will come from me saying this?

The Art of Living - Issue #17
This "filter" should be common sense, but I find myself cringing all too often when I encounter those who are not yet privy to this concept.
Before sharing information, especially information that has the potential to be negative or hurtful, I try to ask myself the question:
"What good will come from me saying this?"
If I can't come up with a compelling answer to that question then I typically choose to keep my mouth shut.
This filter has saved me from countless arguments, damaged relationships, and regrettable moments. Give it a try.
